Metropolitan Policy Committee Schedules Public Hearing
At its March meeting, the MPC requested an additional public hearing to provide the public an opportunity to speak specifically to the EmX routing alternatives (including West 6th/7th/11th Avenue alternative, and West 13th/11th Avenue alternative), and to the Build or No-Build decision. The hearing is scheduled for
Tuesday, April 5, 6 p.m.
Lane Events Center, in the Wheeler Pavilion
976 W. 13th Avenue
The MPC will hear testimony (3-minute limit) and accept written testimony. The MPC will not discuss the issue at the hearing, but will take it up at its April 14 meeting.
Eugene City Council and LTD Board Select West 6th/7th/11th Avenue Alignment as Next EmX Route
At its March 9 meeting, the Eugene City Council considered the options in their decision on the West Eugene EmX Extension. The Council voted to build EmX, and voted 8 to 0 in favor of extending EmX from downtown Eugene to Commerce via West 6th/7th/11th Avenues.
On March 16, the LTD Board voted 6 to 1 in favor of the same West 6th/7th/11th Avenue routing.
Just want to tell you how much I appreciate your putting this out there! A good grass-roots support effort is needed now more than ever.
Thanks again!
